A Dutch team of eight people broke the world record for trampolining on Sunday. Members of the team took turns jumping up and down for a total of over thirty hours. That was more than 4.5 hours longer than the former record set by an English team in 2017.
According to Omroep Brabant, the achievement is included in the Guinness Book of Records. “It may have been a stupid idea, but how cool is it to have a world record to your name?” the broadcaster quotes one of the participants.
The team of eight Dutchmen would have prepared for almost a year. They also wanted to raise money for a good cause: a local football team that works for people with disabilities.
The trampolining world record is not the only remarkable world record that was broken on Sunday. In the United States, students broke the record for falling cornflakes boxes. More than six thousand boxes went around like dominoes.
