Through his Twitter account, the representative to the chamber confirmed that they have already identified the cases of corruption in the current government of President Gustavo Petro, and that he is preparing to “unmask” them. Although there are no indications of what the cases presented may be, the congressman stated that they would be related to one of the subsidy programs for the most vulnerable in the country.

Another of the congressman’s reactions against the Petro government occurred in the midst of the controversy over the pension reform, in which he stated that this would be a measure that would affect Colombians and considered it a “theft.”

“Prepare for the biggest robbery in the history of Colombia, and head on. Petro will take the pension savings of Colombians and spend them on subsidies and infrastructure “projects” that will not yield any profit, and that will end up in black works. Corruption!”, asserted Miguel Polo Polo.

The pension resources, as Jaime Dussán, director of Colpensiones, implied, could be used to finance infrastructure projects such as the train from Buenaventura to Barranquilla; however, the same president confirmed how this money will be handled.

With a quote from Polo Polo’s tweet, Petro replied, “It is in these years that pension savings have been spent on infrastructure, many 4G, and above all on TES financing to the state. We want the contributions of current workers to finance pensions and guarantee them, ”he assured.

In addition, the head of state indicated that it will not be mandatory to pay pensions in the state fund, it can also be done in private ones, under certain conditions, “A part of the contribution will go to Colpensiones to guarantee the payment of pensions, including yours, representative; and on the other hand, if you earn more than 4 minimum wages in your working life and the contributor wants it, to private pension funds”, he replied to the congressman.
