Andrej Babis and Petr Pavel, these are the two candidates who will go to the definitive second round of the presidential elections in the Czech Republic
On this second election day, the populist 68-year-old former prime minister, Andrej Babis, was the politician with the most votes, with 38% of support, despite having been marred by a case of fraud involving European subsidies worth 2 million euros.
He was followed by Petr Pavel, a 61-year-old retired army general and former chairman of the NATO military committee with 32%.
In third place is the economist Danuse Nerudova, the only woman among the eight candidates for the head of state, with 13.7%.
Participation reached 67%, up from 61% five years ago.
