KTO will launch into radio. The Catholic television channel revealed on Wednesday January 11 that it had obtained a national radio frequency in DAB +. “KTO has been selected by deliberation of Arcom (Audiovisual and Digital Communication Regulatory Authority, editor’s note) as the 26th station on the national digital terrestrial radio frequency,” the channel announced in a press release.

At this stage, it is a “preparatory decision”, it is said at Arcom. This is one of the steps opening a phase of negotiations between the candidate selected for the frequency, before the final authorization. “KTO continues its deployment and begins a new phase in its history, reacted its president Vincent Montagne. This digital access reinforces our offer of multimedia services. We are very happy to have been selected and eager to launch this new project. »
The future grid not yet revealed
The editorial offer has not yet been specified. Contacted by La Croix, the chain prefers to wait for the publication of the attribution in the Official Journal, which should take place by the end of January, to express itself further.
KTO’s candidacy was decided in the spring of 2022 during a meeting of the channel’s board of directors. The previous year, a joint request for a national DAB + frequency had been filed by RCF radio, Radio Notre-Dame and the Bayard group (owner of La Croix), before being refused by Arcom.
