Rijkswaterstaat warns tomorrow for a heavy morning and evening rush hour because of the weather. Thursday is usually a busier day on the road, but due to the heavy rain and gusts of wind, motorists must expect longer traffic jams.

The KNMI has issued code yellow for several provinces for tomorrow morning. The institute warns for strong gusts of wind between 75 and 90 kilometers per hour. In addition, between 8 and 18 millimeters of rain is expected.

Rijkswaterstaat advises road users to work from home if possible tomorrow. Those who do go on the road should take into account that “driving conditions are different during a heavy downpour”, according to the traffic institute.

Code yellow has also been declared for the entire country for tonight due to heavy showers and wind gusts. It can also thunder and hail can fall. In the second half of the evening, the showers will move away to Germany.
