Germany: a teenager suspected of the murder of his teacher

A 17-year-old boy is suspected of stabbing to death his teacher, who was alone in a class, at a vocational college in Ibbenbüren, western Germany, on Tuesday, local police said.

The suspect allegedly went to a class where the 55-year-old teacher was in the early afternoon and killed him with a knife, according to a statement from the police in Münster (North Rhine- Westphalia).

He then called the emergency services and allowed himself to be arrested by the police without putting up any resistance, the police said.

The Münster brigade was put in charge of the investigation.
