Christian Bale is completely taking over Netflix with his latest film The Pale Blue Eye (2022), in which he plays Detective Landor. The new costume drama is clearly widely watched in our country.

The mysterious costume drama can be seen on the streaming service since last Friday and immediately managed to attract a huge number of viewers in the first weekend. The Pale Blue Eye can be found in first place in the top 10 on Netflix and therefore has the successful Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery (2022) already caught up. Concrete viewing figures are not (yet) known, but it is clear that the story with Bale and Gillian Anderson is very popular.

Oscar winner Bale reunites with Cooper, director of the Western Hostiles (2017) which also stars Bale, now stars veteran detective Augustus Landor as he investigates the murders, aided by a young cadet who would go on to become world-renowned author Edgar Allan Poe.
