Today you watch Jake Gyllenhaal on SBS9 Life (2017). The science fiction film tells the story of the six-member International Space Station crew who are on the cutting edge of one of the most important discoveries in human history: the first evidence of extraterrestrial life on Mars.
Tuesday is The Great Debaters (2007), a drama based on the true story of Melvin B. Tolson, a professor at Wiley College in Texas. In 1935, he inspired students to form the school’s first debate team, which challenged Harvard for the national championship.
On Wednesday you watch a dinosaur film Jurassic Park (1993). When scientists manage to clone dinosaurs from a drop of dino blood taken from a mosquito, millionaire John Hammond builds a large theme park to show the cloned dinosaurs to the public. A select group is invited by Hammond to take a look before the official opening. But things don’t go smoothly when dinosaurs escape from their cages. The action film can now also be seen on Prime Video and via Pathé Thuis.
Veronica broadcasts Thursday Wonder Woman (2017) out. Gal Gadot takes on the role of the powerful Diana: princess of the Amazons and trained as an invincible warrior. When a pilot (Chris Pine) crashes onto the shores of the sheltered island paradise and talks about a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home to stop the threat. Joining humanity in a battle to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers and her true destiny.

You look at Friday Se7en (1995) by David Fincher. The film follows the story of two detectives who track down a sadistic serial killer who chooses his victims according to the seven deadly sins. Brad Pitt plays Detective David Mills, a hopeful but naive newbie who teams up with Detective William Somerset (Morgan Freeman), who is about to retire. Together they follow the killer’s every step and witness the aftermath of his gruesome crimes one by one.
It’s Saturday’s turn Straight Outta Compton (2015), about the true lives of five young men in one of America’s most dangerous neighborhoods. Together they form the NWA and express themselves through their music. The film was nominated for an Oscar for its good script.
Net 5 ends the week with romantic comedy The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003). This is the final confrontation between the forces of good and evil fighting for the future of Middle-earth. Frodo and Sam reach Mordor in their quest to destroy the Ring, while Aragorn leads the forces of good against Sauron’s evil army at the stone city of Minas Tirith.
