Yesterday morning, the police arrested a motorcyclist on the A7 motorway near Middenbeemster who drove more than 100 kilometers too fast. At a laser check, his speed was measured at 219 kilometers per hour, in a place where 100 is allowed.
The motorcyclist was apprehended after a chase. It turned out to be a 31-year-old man from Zwanenburg.
A saliva test showed that the man had also used drugs. He was arrested and officers confiscated his driver’s license. The public prosecutor will decide in a few days whether he will get it back. He will also determine what punishment the man will receive.
