To honor those who stood up to the assailants, the US head of government Joe Biden has awarded 14 people with the Presidential Citizen’s Medal for their protection work during that episode.

Two years ago, the Trumpists tried to annul the results of the presidential elections, to keep Trump in office, despite having been defeated at the polls.

A moment that went down in history as an “attack on American democracy.”

The Democrats have also recognized the work of local poll workers and state officials who faced fierce intimidation from the Trump wave.
