Thousands of Israelis took to the streets of Tel Aviv to protest against the new government of Benjamin Netanyahu shouting “Democracy in danger”.
Netanyahu, who ratified his sixth government in Israel at the end of December, heads the most right-wing Executive in the country’s history: a coalition with far-right parties and ultra-Orthodox Jews; controversial politicians who now head key ministries.
Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister who has held office for the longest time in the country, also begins his career immersed in a corruption trial in which he is accused of fraud, bribery and breach of trust.
