Tragic accident in Mexico leaves at least one dead and more than fifty injured when two trains collided on line 3 of the Mexico City subway between the Portero and La Raza stations.
The mayoress of the capital, Claudia Sheinbaum, has given a brief message in which she points out that there are already 59 injured in the crash, among whom only one is seriously ill. The driver of one of the trains that collided.
The Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office (FGJCDMX) has opened an investigation to determine the causes of the events.
It is not the first time that the subway in the Mexican capital has featured in the news. In May 2021, an accident caused 25 deaths and 79 injuries after the collapse of a section of line 12.
