Fast food giant McDonald’s will close its doors in Kazakhstan due to supply restrictions, according to the local franchise operator.
One user recounts that “the chain went out of business pretty quickly and it’s a shame there just weren’t any good suppliers of goods in Kazakhstan. It’s very sad.”
McDonald’s banned its Kazakh stores from buying meat from Russia after the start of the war in Ukraine. Like many other companies in Kazakhstan, the war in Ukraine has disrupted their supply chains.
