On the downside, high-impact robberies, homicides and femicides in the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara, according to the report of the National Public Security System (SNSP).
The reduction occurs in the nine months of 2022, from January to September, in relation to the same period of 2018; the decrease is due to the coordinated work between the three levels of government (federal, state and municipal).
According to SNSP data, the incidence of high-impact robberies in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area decreased by 54.7 percentin this same period there are decreases in homicide victims due to direct aggression and femicide.
Similarly, the total crime incidence was reduced by 24.5 percentduring the first nine months of the year, going from 99 thousand 599 crimes in 2018 to 75 thousand 183 crimes in 2022.
Likewise, the report quantifies a 20.8 percent reduction in cases of homicide victims due to direct aggressionduring the first nine months of 2022, against the same period of 2018, while, in relation to victims of femicide, from January to September of this year there is a reduction of 35.3 percent, compared to 2018.
And crimes of special monitoring (home robbery, person robbery, private vehicle robbery, freight transport robbery, motorcycle robbery, bank robbery, account holder robbery and business robbery), a sustained drop has been maintained since the beginning of the state administration.
In addition, the report states that the most significant decreases highlight theft from businesswhich this year reached a reduction of 69.6 percent compared to 2018, thus becoming the period with the lowest incidence in this area during the last 5 years.
Similarly, the theft of private vehicles stands out, with a decrease of 55.8 percent, going from 13 thousand 325 cases in 2018, to 5 thousand 896 cases this year; while the theft of heavy cargo vehicles, shows a decrease of 51.4 percent in the first nine months of the year.
As for theft from a person, the percentage decrease during the first nine months of 2022 was 38.2 percent compared to the same period of 2018; while, if we talk about home robbery, the decrease reaches 68.1 percent in this same period.
