Agents of the Specialized Unit in Combating Kidnapping (UECS) of the Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office managed to release safe and sound a merchant who was kidnapped in the municipality of Jesús María, as well as the capture in Guadalajara, of three probable participants in the events.
These are Brayan Ulises “M”, Christopher Jesús “H” and Ricardo Antonio “G”, who are already facing criminal proceedings in preventive detention (for one year) for the crime of aggravated kidnapping, as a result of the evidence provided by the Public Ministry against him, during his imputation.
According to the investigations carried out, it was in August of this year when the victim’s next of kin presented a complaint for the plagiarism of the merchant, an elderly man, who was kidnapped when he was opening his business. The subjects identified themselves as “from the prosecution” without showing him any identification and different demands began to be made so that “she would not have problems”, but the victim assured that everything was in order.
The kidnappers then took him deprived of his liberty by force and put him in a black sedan-type vehicle with tinted windows.. “After this, the criminals covered the head and face of their victim, who was transferred to the place of captivity, giving him precise instructions to address them as “commanders” and was forced to call her family on several occasions, to inform them that she was kidnapped and to be released with good, it was necessary to pay 10 million pesos immediately, “the State Prosecutor’s Office reported in a statement.
The UECS immediately began investigations to locate the victim and his captors, obtaining information on the place where the merchant was being held captive. It was in the first days of September when the investigating agents, under the command and leadership of the Public Ministry, deployed an operation in the San Carlos neighborhood of Guadalajara, locating the merchant in a house located in the private Jazmín. The man was rescued safe and sound, notifying his family that he was out of danger.
The capture of the three subjects already mentioned was also achieved, to whom three tactical vests were secured, a long weapon that turned out to be props, communication radios, eight cell phones and a set of arresting rings. In addition, identification and personal belongings of the victim were recovered. The farm was insured by the State Prosecutor’s Office. “The Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office continues with the investigations of the case until achieving the arrest of the rest of the participants; In addition, the Specialized Unit to Combat Kidnapping makes an appeal to the general public so that if they are identified in the commission of more crimes, they file a formal complaint,” the agency added.
The UECS is in operation 24 hours a day, all year round and its facilities are located on Calle 12, between 3 and 5 of the Industrial zone of Guadalajara.
