Michiel Huisman plays the leading role in Echo 3, a new series from streaming service Apple TV+. The Dutchman can be seen in the series alongside actor Luke Evans. Apple TV+ and its agency Meerzorg Talents reported this on Sunday.
The ten-part series is about a brilliant scientist who disappears on the border of Colombia and Venezuela. Her husband (Huisman) and her brother (Evans) go looking for her. Both men have military training and troubled pasts.
Echo 3 is based on an Israeli series and was recently shot in Colombia. The series kicks off on November 23.
Huisman has lived and worked mainly in the United States for years. He had his breakthrough role in the HBO series Game of Thrones. In it, he replaced actor Ed Skrein as Daario Naharis, a mercenary and sweetheart of Daenerys.
It is not the first major Apple TV + series in which a Dutchman can be seen. Actor David Elsendoorn plays an important supporting role in the comedy series Ted Lasso. That show won almost all major television awards last season.
