Governor Américo Villarreal Anaya delivered this Saturday morning appointments to the Secretary of Public Security and the Secretary General of the Government.
After protesting in the State Congress, the Tamaulipas president moved to the Bicentennial Tower, where he delivered the appointment as Secretary of Public Security to the Retired Brigadier General, Sergio Hernando Chávez García.
As Undersecretary of Public Security, he appointed the Brigadier General, Graduate of the General Staff, Alex Melgarejo Torres.
General Chávez García was born in 1956, in Salvatierra, Guanajuato, and has a military career as a Brigadier General with a Diploma from the General Staff.
He served as Undersecretary of Public Security of the State of Mexico from 2018 to June 2022.
Villarreal also handed over the appointment as Secretary General of Government, to Héctor Joel Villegas González, who studied International Trade at the International Institute of Higher Studies in Reynosa, Tamaulipas.
Upon graduation, Villegas worked in the Federal Public Administration as head of the Treasury Specialists Section of the Tax Administration System of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit until 2018, when he was invited to participate as a candidate for federal deputation in the project of nation of this Fourth Transformation where he obtained the triumph by relative majority.
He was a federal deputy in the LXIV legislature and served as municipal president of Río Bravo, Tamaulipas.
