Storm Ian, which has wreaked havoc in Cuba and the US state of Flordia in recent days, has again become a hurricane. This is reported by the US National Hurricane Center (NHC).
With sustained winds of up to 75 miles per hour, Ian is heading for the states of South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia in the southern US. Conditions will be “life-threatening”, according to the NHC, with “flooding, coastal flooding and strong winds”.
