The direct air route from Guadalajara to Monterrey returns as of January 16, 2023, as announced by the Jalisco Ministry of Tourism (Secturjal), the Guadalajara Convention and Visitors Bureau (OFVC), the Pacific Airport Group (GAP ) and Aeromexico; in the first stage there will be 19 weekly frequencies.
The general director of Tourism Promotion of the Ministry of Tourism, Rocío Lancaster Jones, stated that “Jalisco and Monterrey maintain a round trip commercial, cultural and tourist relationship, so this route will generate growth and development in our destinations”.
José Zapata, Aeroméxico’s Vice President of Sales for Mexico, assured: “With the restart of this flight we continue to consolidate our presence in Jalisco, reaching a total of 13 routes that connect the State with key destinations within Mexico, the United States and Europe.”
“The return of this Aeroméxico route is a sign of the growth in the Guadalajara Airport connectionbecause in addition to having recovered the ticket it had prior to the pandemic, it maintains an increase in operations, occupation and routes”, said Raúl Revuelta Musalem, general director of the Pacific Airport Group (GAP).
Finally, the director of the Guadalajara Convention and Visitors Bureau (OFVC), Gustavo Staufert Buclon, stated that: “The commercial and tourist relationship between Monterrey and Guadalajara has always represented a great economic and cultural exchange.”
