President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador called this wednesday that political parties pay Netflix to be broadcast free and massively the documentary series “The Cassez-Vallarta Affair: A Crime Novel”as he assured that most Mexicans do not know the set-up that was in the case.
In a morning press conference, López Obrador assured that it should be “a shame” that the former president of France, Nicolas Sarkozyassured that during his presidency Felipe Calderón could not make decisions without his then Secretary of Public Security, Genaro García Luna, today detained in the United States for alleged links with drug trafficking.
He stated that “It is not bad that all this is being aired, so that this story is known” of the Cassez case and the montage because, he affirmed, the majority of Mexicans did not know about it because he accused that they are topics that were hidden.
“Imagine, a former president, the shame for Mexicans, President Calderón could not make decisions without his interior minister, García Luna,” expressed the head of the federal Executive while a fragment of the statements of the former French president given in the documentary was projected on the screen of the Treasury room of the National Palace.
“I don’t want to publicize the documentary, but I hope people see it, they see that documentary on this matter, Florence, the Cassez-Vallarta case, you can see it, but you have to pay, and how much do you have to pay? Netflix here it puts it free because if it is interesting that it is known”.
“You cannot transform a reality that is not known, and above all we must fight for non-repetition, it may be that political parties pay Netflix to broadcast, it is part of raising awareness among citizens, The more information there, especially that guy, the better, because these atrocities were committed before and nobody knew about it,” he said.
