Like a rocket. Analia Pigrée won, on Sunday August 14, the gold medal in the 50-meter backstroke at the European Swimming Championships in Rome (Italy). The Guyanese swimmer set a time of 27″27 to win ahead of the Italian Silvia Scalia and the Dutch Maaike de Waard. This is the first international title for the Frenchwoman, bronze medalist at the world championships in Budapest in July.
