The Governor of Jalisco confirmed that the vehicles set on fire on the highway to Saltillo and in other parts of the city are a response to a confrontation between criminals and security elements.
“As a result of a confrontation on the border between Ixtlahuacán del Río and Cuquío, between the Army and members of organized crime, they set fire to vehicles on the highway to Saltillo, at the entrance to the city, to try to prevent the passage of corporations” said the president on his social networks.
Said There are no injured and he assured that “the situation is under control and we are working on the issue in coordination between the three levels of government”.
Before 8:00 p.m., two vehicles were reported on fire on the Carretera a Chapala, later it was reported that on Camino a San Isidro there was another truck on fire.
