The New York Stock Exchange fell again this Tuesday with earnings announcements sinking tech stocks And while all eyes are on Inflation data to be released this week.
All three major indicators opened in the red and remained there until the close.
The star index, the industrial dow joneslost 0.2% or 0.09% to end the session at 32,774.41, down to 32,832.54 points.
The nasdaqtech-heavy, fell 1.2% to end at 12,493.93 points, dragged down by semiconductor maker Micron Technologies’ warning of falling revenue on account of continued global supply problems.
The Expanded Index S&P 500 -of the 500 largest companies on the stock market-, fell 0.4% to end the day at 4,122.47 points.
Investors are watching new inflation data forks likely to remain near 40-year highs.
“There is real concern about what numbers we can get tomorrow (Wednesday) about inflation, and Thursday and even Friday with the consumer confidence figures“said Tom Cahill of Ventura Wealth Management.
