An Argentine citizen who had an international arrest warrant was arrested in Mexico and later extradited to our country. He is accused of having sexually abused a minor belonging to his family, allegedly for 10 years, in the Buenos Aires town of Beccar.
This is Raúl René Lara Andrade, whose international arrest warrant had been published in 2019. Consequently, he had been tracked in Uruguay and Panama, until he was finally located in Mexico. Sources in the case confirmed to Infobae that the arrest was carried out by Interpol agents in December, in collaboration with the Interpol department of the Buenos Aires Police, and that he was extradited to Argentina on July 29.
In compliance with the extradition treaty signed with Argentina, the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Mexico reported that the man was required by the Prosecutor’s Office for Investigation and Trial of Crimes Related to Trafficking in Persons and Gender Violence in San Isidro, in the province of Buenos Aires. Therefore, he was extradited to the Argentine government.
Lara Andrade was arrested in November 2021 in the city of Cancún, in the state of Quintana Roo, and from there he was transferred to Mexico City for his incarceration in the South Men’s Preventive Prison. “For these facts, the Attorney General of the Republic requested the district judge specialized in the accusatory criminal system of the federal criminal justice center in Mexico City, based in the southern prison, the provisional arrest warrant for extradition purposes. against him,” the Mexican authorities said in a statement.
Finally, the delivery of the man was made at the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) to the Argentine agents designated for his transfer to that country.
In a similar case, the Oral Criminal Court No. 7 of San Isidro sentenced in 2016 to eight years in prison a mechanic from the Buenos Aires town of Olivos for the crime of sexual abuse aggravated by the bond. The victim was his three-year-old daughter.
Pablo Minetti was the owner of a motorcycle repair shop and was a fugitive from the moment the verdict was known until March 2018, when he was arrested in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro, after a joint investigation by the authorities of both countries and Interpol. On May 3, 2019, after being in a foreign prison for almost 14 months, he was finally extradited to Argentina, where he now pays for having abused his daughter.
How did the defendant manage to escape to Brazil without setting foot in an Argentine jail for a single minute? The answer was directly related to his work activity. Minetti inherited his father’s workshop and when he became known in the field, his business began to be frequented by members of various motorcycle groups, with whom he forged strong ties. He became one of them.
According to sources in the investigation, the closest to the abusing mechanic was the famous biker tribe known as “Vandals MC”, an international organization with headquarters in several countries, which accepted the man as a member and, knowing that he was A fugitive from Argentine Justice, he helped him leave the country for Brazil and gave him all the protection he needed so as not to be discovered by the authorities. This data was obtained after a several-month investigation carried out by the Federal Police and the investigation began.
