Apex Legends Season 14, Hunted, brings some new things to the game. The update will be out on August 9 and will include a new Legend called Vantage.
Season 14 introduces the youngest Legend, Vantage, who enters the Apex games as an 18-year-old. She is Cuban American and is a sniper-based Legend who makes snipers very happy.
These are her skills:
Passive: Spotter’s Lens – Vantage uses its Spotter’s Lens to gain tactical intelligence on enemy squads from a distance, including Legend’s name, shield rarity, squad size and distance.
Tactical: Echo Relocation – The winged companion Echo stands ready to reposition Vantage during battle. With her jetpack, Vantage can launch into Echo’s position to take up high ground.
Ultimate: Sniper’s Mark – Hiding from Vantage’s sniper rifle is not possible. The sight and ammunition betray enemies: a successful hit lights up rival squads for ten seconds, with each hit increasing damage.
Vantage has movement abilities and long range sniper abilities so she’s a great option for anyone good with snipers. She can stay at a distance and continue to do a lot of damage while also providing recon support to her team. It will be interesting to see how Vantage plays in ranked and competitive.
Kings Canyon is also getting a facelift in the southwest where Skull Town used to be. Between Salvage and Octane’s gauntlet is its new replacement called Relic.
Broken Relay has added more buildings to the location and is renamed Basin. Kings Canyon has also implemented a new skybox to add vibrancy and clarity to the overall map. Some changes to the map have been made to increase the flow of central points.
Season 14 features Kings Canyon, World’s Edge and Stormpoint map rotations with Ranked focusing on Kings Canyon for the first split and Stormpoint for the second.
New level cap
After years of not being able to go beyond 500, there is a new leveling system that allows you to level up to 2000 times in season 14. After you manage to reach 500 you go back to level 1 but you get a gold border around your badge. You can do this up to four times to earn more free loot boxes.
