Governor of Nuevo Leon Samuel Garciaexhorted the population to become aware of climate change and scolded those who waste water while taking a bath, singing songs by Julión Álvarez under the shower. A video of the sayings circulates on social networks and went viral on Wednesday.
The state president launched the Participatory Workshops of the State Climate Action Plan of New Lion and the Metropolitan Zone of Monterrey, an event in which he pointed out that “The only good news about being the focus and the first in the crisis is that we will also be the first to leave, because we have been ahead of what other cities have not done for three months, but they are the same or worse”.
He recognized that Monterrey at this time is the focus at the national level for the drought he is going through, but he stressed that the problem occurs throughout the north of the country, and even in Los Angeles and Nevada, in the United States.
On the subject of water, Samuel García criticized that there are people who bathe up to twice a day, and that there are those who sing songs by the interpreter of the Mexican regional genre. Julian Alvarez.
“How is it possible that today there are still people who bathe twice a day, or Julión Álvarez sings in the shower? It no longer works, and it will no longer work, and the science is clear,” he said during his speech.
He also reported that the rains in recent months that have been recorded are below the average in the entity, but he expects the catchments in the dams to recover in August and September.
How inconsiderate are those who sing Julión Álvarez in the shower!
