The mayor of Naucalpan, Angélica Moya Marín, announced that at least 87 municipal police officers have been removed from their posts in follow-up to the security and anti-corruption strategy announced in June, as a result of improper acts such as robbery, extortion, and police abuse.
The police elements that were removed from their duties were assigned to the Municipal Preventive Police and are part of the first phase of the “purge” that is being carried out in the corporation, as reported by the municipal president.
“This provision is implemented with strict adherence to the legal framework and full respect for human rights and the law, and is based on a model for updating and modernizing the corporation to strengthen institutional capacities and implement strategies that improve security. of the inhabitants”, indicated the mayor.
Likewise, Angélica Moya pointed out that they will soon report on the call for interested young people who wish to participate in admission processes to the training course and police training of the Municipal Preventive Police.
In the same way, Moya pointed out the importance of renewing the police force so that “the aim is to recruit men and women with a vocation for service, who have training and professionalization schemes in order to maintain an environment of peace and tranquility in the municipality”.
