Faced with a scenario like the current one, if the worker changes the administrator, the loss in his savings is effectivefor which the authorities and the Afore insist that this is not a good time to do it and urge calm, while the recovery arrives.
At the beginning of the month, the president of the eatIván Pliego, said that the Afore, more than promoting the change of administrator among workers, should provide more advice on the alternatives to grow that savingsin complicated moments like the one we are experiencing.
“The recommendation is that there be no transfers As we have been seeing them, it is the great challenge we have: that the transfers be made to the conscience of the worker, seeking their benefit, not for the benefit of the so-called commercial force,” explained Pliego.
In the first half of 2022, the Afore accumulate losses for 360 thousand 989 million pesos. In June alone, that loss of value in the saving for retirement it was 116 billion pesos, according to official data.
Although the total number of transfers between Afores, as the change of administrator is also known, is 5.3% lower in the first half of the year compared to the same period in 2021, a dynamic of high turnover among workers is maintained that even they choose an Afore that does not offer them better returns.
According to the Consar, In June alone there were 268,300 movements. In net figures, the Afore that received the most transfers was Azteca, with 265,497 accounts. It is followed by Profuturo, with 75 thousand 731, and Sura with more than 64 thousand.
To avoid the excessive change of Afore, the Consar modified the figure of promoter for that of provisional agent, with which it seeks that the Afore sales forces dedicate themselves not only to changing administrators to workers, but also to inform them which is the one that most favors their retirement.
“This measure seeks to reduce the excessive spending of administrators, focused on attracting customers, based on promotion and not on the search to improve services or performance,” Consar said.
