Pablo Lemus Navarro, municipal president of Guadalajara, shared with the members of the Jalisco Business Economic Council (CEEJ), some of the successful strategies implemented in the municipalities of Zapopan and Guadalajara in terms of transparency, accountability and fight against corruption.
In the company of Arturo Guillén Arámbula, President of the CEEJ, the mayor of Guadalajara explained that transparency does not only consist in making visible what the treasury is used for, but also in how the efficiency of public administrations is applied.
“I think transparency is the first step (…) From my perspective, what we have to do is take a step forward, that is, enter into accountability,” he said.
Lemus Navarro elaborated on the need to provide certainty and confidence to entrepreneurs and investors to thus encourage the economic reactivation of the city.
An example of this is the implementation in the capital of Jalisco of the tool Digital.
through the portal https://tramites.guadalajara.gob.mx/tramites-y-serviciosthe citizens who need to obtain a municipal license for a type A draft or start their procedures for drafts B, C and D through a computer.
