For movie lovers it has never been so easy to have access to a wide catalog of movies as it is now after the emergence of streaming platforms, such as HBO, although this implies a drawback: among so many variety of titles and genres that characterize the new millennium it is no longer easy to find the next production to enjoy.
However, with these new challenges in mind, HBO offers its subscribers a list of its most popular movies, so that it is easier to choose what to watch.
Different genres, all with exciting stories to spend many hours in front of the screen instead of wondering how to download a video from Facebook, these are the most popular productions to watch these days from HBO Argentina:
1. Morbius
Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder and determined to save others suffering the same fate, Doctor Morbius makes a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success is soon revealed to be a remedy potentially worse than the disease.
2. At war with my grandfather
Young Peter is forced to leave his room when his recently widowed grandfather Ed moves into his house. With the help of his friends, Peter wages war on his grandfather to get him out of the room, but Ed is stubborn and isn’t going to make things easy for him.
3. Los Minions
The history of The Minions goes back to the beginning of time. They began as unicellular yellow organisms that evolved through time, always putting themselves at the service of the most despicable masters. Faced with their inability to support these masters – from the T. Rex to Napoleon – the Minions end up finding themselves alone and fall into a deep depression. However, one of them, named Kevin, has a plan. Accompanied by rebellious Stuart and lovable Bob, he embarks on an exciting journey to find a boss to serve, the terrifying Scarlet Overkill. They will go from the frozen Antarctica, to the city of New York in the sixties, to end up in the London of the same time, where they will have to face the greatest challenge to date: saving the Minion race from annihilation.
4. Moonlight
Chiron is a young African American with a difficult childhood and adolescence, who grows up in a troubled area of Miami. As the years go by, the young man discovers himself trying to survive in different situations. During all that time, Chirón will have to deal with his mother’s drug addiction and the violent environment of his school and his neighborhood.
5. Son of a Gun
Locked up for a misdemeanor, young JR (Brenton Thwaites) quickly learns the harshness of prison life and that to survive inside one must seek protection. He soon finds himself under the gaze of Australia’s most notorious criminal, Brendan Lynch (Ewan McGregor), but that cover comes at a price. Lynch and his team have plans for his young protégé: after JR is released, he must help Lynch with his escape plan.
6. the truman show
Truman Burbank is an ordinary and somewhat naive man who has lived his entire life in one of those towns where nothing ever happens. However, suddenly, some strange events make him suspect that something abnormal is happening. All of his friends are actors, his entire city is a set, his entire life is being filmed and broadcast as the most ambitious reality show in history.
7. The Jaivas: All together
8. A friend for Frank
In the not too distant future, the integration of robotic presences among humans will make it possible for, for example, androids programmed to care for the elderly to emerge. That is exactly the solution that Hunter and Madison find for their elderly father Frank, whose memory loss is more and more frequent. Overcoming his initial aversion to technology, he will find in the robot a caring friend concerned about his well-being. But, parallel to his improvement, the desire to return to his old “profession” of jewel thief will also arise in Frank. Bright and tender, Robot and Frank integrates elements of science fiction in a deeply humanistic story.
9. youth and witches
An eclectic quartet of teenage wannabe witches get more than they bargained for as they lean into their newfound powers.
10. Crane, rude favorite
In a cheerful urbanization with well-kept gardens surrounded by white-painted wooden fences and full of rose bushes, a black house stands out with a yellowish lawn. The neighbors are unaware that there is a huge secret hiding place under the house. There is Gru, surrounded by a small army of lackeys, planning the biggest heist in all of history. He is going to take over the moon!

Then it began its expansion to other countries, including: Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Uruguay, Venezuela, among others, for a total of 150 nations.
