On the first day of the summer sales, the record for the number of electronic payments has been broken. That says payment processor Worldline on Tuesday.

Worldline registered more than 12.8 million transactions on Friday, the first day of the bargain period. On Saturday, too, Belgians made massive electronic payments: 12.4 million. The previous record dates back to May 7 – the day before Mother’s Day. Back then, Worldline registered 12.2 million electronic payments.
