Paris attacks, Abdeslam sentenced to non-reviewable life imprisonment

The Paris Criminal Court on Wednesday found guilty the 20 defendants who have appeared for almost ten months for their involvement in the jihadist attacks of November 13, 2015 that caused 130 deaths and hundreds of injuries in the French capital.

The judges found 19 of them guilty of all the charges for which they were accused, including Salah Abdeslam, the only survivor of the commandos that carried out the massacres in the Bataclan show room, in various terraces of Paris and in the Stadium of France from Saint Denis.

Abdeslam was sentenced to non-reviewable life imprisonment while another of the main defendants, Mohamed Abrini, was sentenced to life imprisonment with 22 years without being able to request review of his sentence.

The only exception was Farid Kharkhach, for whom the court did not retain one of the indictments, that of terrorism.
