Netflix today announced a brand new action thriller: Athens. The new Original film from France will appear on the streaming service after the summer. The first images can be seen today.
Athena is a social-critical action film and revolves around three siblings. Hours after their youngest brother’s tragic death in unexplained circumstances, the lives of the remaining family are turned upside down.
The action film is directed by Romain Gavras, who previously only directed commercials and music videos from, for example, Kanye West. The lead roles are played by Dali Benssalah, who previously had a small supporting role in No Time to Die (2021), Alexis Manenti, Anthony Bajon and Karim Lasmi.
