Dipper Guurtje Praasterink has reached the final in the tower jumping (10 meters) section at the World Championships in Budapest. The 19-year-old Praasterink qualified eleventh for the semi-finals and also became eleventh when it came to a place in the final (the best twelve).
In the preliminary round she got 287.70 points and in the semifinals 289.90 points. Praasterink finished tenth at the World Junior Championships in December last year.
Chinese women dominate
The Chinese women Chen Yuxi and Quan Hongchan jumped by far the best in Budapest, just like in the preliminary round. Chen scored 427.00 points and Quan came to a total of 413.70.
Daphne Wils is the second Dutch diver to participate in this World Cup. She will take action on Wednesday morning in the preliminary round of the 1-meter plank.
