On World Blood Donor Day, the National Network of Civil Associations and Citizen Participation AC (Redac), at the International Center of Friendship of the DIF Guadalajara, presented a draft to the Commission of Hygiene and Public Health, Prevention of Accidents of the Congress of the State of Jalisco to encourage more voluntary donors.
Germán Enrique Michel López, financial director of Redac, on behalf of the president of the association, Jaime Enrique Michel Velasco, said that since 2018 in Jalisco altruistic blood donors have decreased, since only 3.58% of transfusions are voluntarya situation of concern, since it is important to implement reforms in this regard.
“We have to implement public policies and laws that give the government and society the legal framework to implement programs that educate about blood donation and that are applied in schools at all levels, companies, unions and society,” he said.
Michel López explained that the previous project seeks that the state government provide greater public spaces for donations.
“Mainly in the project, it has many points that we believe will help encourage altruistic donation and also what we want is for people not to be waiting for the call from individuals to donate, but for the Government to make available spaces and public places. , where donations can be made and incentives given so that they are interested in donating”, he said.
For her part, the local deputy, Ana Angelita Degollado González, president of the Hygiene and Public Health Commission, pointed out that they will seek in some way to promote regulations that encourage more altruistic donations.

I invite you shortly, let’s also do our thing, let’s educate altruistic blood donation ”, she limited.
