From March 19 to June 11, the federal government has regularized 16 thousand 036 vehicles of foreign originwhat has generated an income to the public coffers of 290 million pesosreported the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Rosa Icela Rodríguez.
During the press conference “morning” of the President Andres Manuel Lopez Obradorthe official explained that this intensive regularization program has the objective that all vehicles “are perfectly identified before the commission of any crime” and give certainty to the assets of the people who own these cars.
He pointed out that the entities benefiting from this program are Baja California, Baja California Sur, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango, Michoacán, Nayarit, Sinaloa, Sonora, Tamaulipas and Zacatecas, and announced that as of next Monday the state of Puebla will be integrated.
Rosa Icela Rodríguez explained that to date, the entities where more vehicles have been regularized are Sonorawith 25 thousand 513; Chihuahuawith 21 thousand 377; Baja Californiawith 17 thousand 015; and Zacatecaswith 13 thousand 656.
Through this program, resources have been collected in Sonora for 63 million 782 thousand pesos, in Chihuahua, 53.4 million pesos; Baja California, 42.5 million pesos; and Zacatecas, 34.3 million pesos.
