Universal and Sony have another new trailer for Where the Crawdads Sing (2022) released. The upcoming mystery drama movie, starring Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People (2020)) in the lead role, can be seen in cinemas all over the Netherlands from the end of August.
Where the Crawdads Sing revolves around Kya, a girl who was abandoned as a child and rescued herself in the dangerous swampland of North Carolina. Against all odds she manages to survive just fine, but it is lonely. With all the rumors of ‘the swamp girl’ circulating in the area for years, she is becoming increasingly isolated from the rest of the world. When she meets two boys from the neighborhood, a whole new world opens up for her. But that quickly changes when something happens to one of those guys…

The mysterious drama film is based on the bestseller of the same name by writer Delia Owens. In addition to Edgar-Jones, Taylor John Smith (Sharp Objects (2018)), Harris Dickinson (The King’s Man (2021)), Michael Hyatt (snowfall (2017– )), Sterling Macer Jr. (Double Down) and David Strathairn (nomad land (2020)) along.
