Respawn and Lucasfilm Games announce Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the next epic chapter in the critically acclaimed series. Cal Kestis will return in 2023.
At the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California, Respawn Entertainment, Electronic Arts and Lucasfilm Games announced Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the next chapter in the beloved Star Wars series about the journey of Jedi Cal Kestis. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is being developed by Respawn’s veteran team, led by game director Stig Asmussen. The game builds on the iconic Star Wars stories, worlds, characters, and thrilling battles first experienced in the series’ debut title, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is being made for the current generation of consoles to provide fans with a more immersive Star Wars experience with more depth. The game will be released worldwide in 2023.
Even before we completed Jedi: Fallen Order, our team knew how to continue the adventure for Cal, BD-1 and the crew in a sequel. For Jedi: Survivor we work closely with Lucasfilm Games. We use advanced technology to create more dynamic Jedi combat and a more cinematic storytelling about an adult Cal surviving through dark times. We can’t wait to share more details about the game with the world later this year.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor begins five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. Cal must stay one step ahead of the Empire, which is constantly chasing him, as he begins to feel the weight of being one of the last remaining Jedi in the galaxy. Accompanied by his trusty companion BD-1, Cal joins an array of unique and interesting characters on his journey. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor builds on the series’ dynamic combat in new and innovative ways. To survive, Cal must learn new skills and strengthen his bond with the Force.
