The Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SCT) reported that this week conservation work began on the free federal highway, route 15, Guadalajara-Tepic, in the section located between the Peripheral Ring and the junction to the town of Ameca.
The agency explained that in this road section of the western exit of the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area (ZMG) the layer will be releveled in isolated sections and a new 3 cm asphalt concrete layer will be placed as reinforcement to substantially improve the surface. bearing from km 7+800 to km 12+000.
“The works began in Body A of the highway; that is, in the direction of the Periferico heading to Tepic”noted the secretariat.

“Work will be done by lane and the work will be done at night, from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am.”
In this section of the Guadalajara-Tepic highway, there is an average traffic of almost 43 thousand vehicles per day, of which 18.5% corresponds to cargo trucks and buses, and 81.5% corresponds to light vehicles.
The SICT Jalisco Center reported that It is planned to conclude these works at the end of next August.and made an attentive call to the users of this road section to respect the signs and travel with caution, to contribute to generating road safety conditions for all.
