“We are going to report today like every Tuesday about the health situation, that is the main topic and we are displacing the information, the situation of the pandemic, because fortunately things have improved a lot and we will continue to report, but every 15 days”.
López Obrador recalled that Hugo López-Gatell, undersecretary of health, attended the 75th World Health Assembly, organized by the WHO; he also stressed that the official “has done a good job” in the face of the COVID pandemic.
Besides, The Mexican President highlighted that one of the priorities of his Government at this time is the federalization of health servicesand regularization of health workers.
“Now, the central thing, as we have agreed, is all the instrumentation of health, it is the strengthening of public health services, how we are working together to guarantee that the health centers, the rural medical units, the hospitals, that there is no lack of doctors, specialists, medicines, that the situation of health workers is regularized. In short, that is the plan that is already underway. We started in Nayarit and we are doing well, “he said.
