The spokesperson for Cape Holland Film announced the news at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. Haars and van der Kuil’s new project is a comedy that will be called Krazy House. The plans for the film were already in place in 2020, but the project was halted due to the corona crisis.
Krazy House is an English language film about the religious family man Bernie who must keep a gang of Russian criminal workmen out of his house. Pre-production of the comedy is already underway and the cast will be announced soon.
It will be the first film in six years from the two filmmakers. The two New Kids films from 2010 and 2011 were huge cinema successes. In recent years, they have mainly made a lot for television, including the comedy series Barrie Barista and the End of Times (2020) and Random Shit (2019– ). Both series can now be seen on Videoland.
Cape Holland Film has not yet announced when Krazy House will be released.
