The rainy season has begun and the Mexican Pacific Ocean will begin to receive tropical cyclonesfor which the Municipal Civil Protection Council of Puerto Vallarta established a permanent session with the corresponding authorities for the correct care, protection and prevention of citizens in the event of a natural disaster.
The municipal president, Luis Alberto Michel Rodríguez, made the session official, recalling that in other years the city has been affected, as happened last year with tropical storm “Nora”.
Likewise, the director of Civil Protection and Firefighters, Gerardo Alonzo Castillón, announced that 19 spaces were set up to provide care for up to 3,628 people.
Up to 20 hurricanes could reach Puerto Vallarta
During the session, meteorologist Víctor Cornejo López warned that there is a possibility that between 17 and 20 hurricanes will be registered in the Pacific area, so prevention is essential.
On the other hand, he stated that the rains in the West will be closer than in other parts of the countryWell, while in Jalisco rains are already expected, in the south and north they are forecast until October, or even November.
