Disney and Pixar finally reveal the title of their latest project titled Elemental. The film is slated for Father’s Day weekend in 2023 and will be directed by Peter Sohn, known for Partly Cloudy (2009) and The Good Dinosaur (2015).
Ember and Wade take us on a journey through a city where fire, water, land and air dwellers live together. The young duo are about to discover something elementary and that is: how much they actually have in common. Sohn gets the inspiration for his latest project from his own childhood.
My parents immigrated from Korea in the early 1970s and set up a bustling grocery store in the Bronx. We were among the many families who moved to the Promised Land. We all got mixed up in a big melting pot of different cultures, languages and neighbourhoods. This experience led me to Elemental. The story is inspired by the elements of fire, water, land and air. Some elements mix with each other and some don’t. What if these elements came to life?

According to the current schedule, Elemental will be released in the United States on June 16, the Dutch release date is most likely around the same date. Nothing has been mentioned about cast members yet. However, the above, first image from the film was revealed.
