The young man was selected to go to Cambridge, Massachusetts. CWhen he made the request to carry out his stay, he knew about the amount he would need, but the efforts had been insufficient; Therefore, he decided to sacrifice the dream of going with his family to see his favorite group to get the missing money and achieve his studies, because his family had done everything possible to help him.
It is so He decided to raffle four Coldplay tickets to collect the 81 thousand pesos he needed for his study stay. Lhe deadline to raise the money was February 28. It was a raffle of 500 tickets, each costing 150 pesos, and he placed all of them.
On March 17, Raúl Alejandro held the raffle live through his Facebook page with the aim of making the contest transparent.
Furthermore, he said, received donations of another type, carried out academic consultancies and received foreign supportwhich allowed him to fulfill his dreams.
“Even my parents sold their assets, I was previously financially stable, but certain things were complicated by the pandemic and it was like it resulted in an extra effort to be able to go and study,” he said.
He said that it is a sacrifice, because although when registering and registering he projected his expenses, but in principle he did not know if he would be accepted, so that when he was received the prices rose, but nobody let go of his hand, he said, both friends and family joined efforts to help you.
