A video circulated on social networks of a teacher and a student who staged a fight in the streets of Mexico City, and even the police intervened to stop the brawl.
To everyone’s surprise, the professor and the student are part of the Higher School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering campus Zacatenco (WHILE), belonging to the National Polytechnic Institute (IPN), so many wondered what the reason for this fight would have been.
Why did the fight originate?
As reported in the Ciro Gómez Leyva newscast, the young man complained on social networks that the teacher allegedly charged 60 pesos for raising points in grades. This statement bothered the teacher, who found and denied what was published on the networks.
The students also pointed out that he did not take the class prepared and that many times he spent it talking with other students about topics unrelated to the subject.
IPN disapproves street fight
The National Polytechnic Institute (IPN) and the Higher School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (ESIME), Zacatenco Unit, condemned acts of violence between a teacher and a young manraised this Wednesday afternoon outside the facilities of that institution.
“They assumed conduct outside the values and principles that are promoted in the IPN,” said the campus through an information card.
He assured that the ESIME Zacatenco initiates the necessary actions to investigate the facts and will promptly report the applicable sanctions in accordance with current institutional regulations.
“ESIME Zacatenco assumes its responsibility to ensure the safety and integrity of the members of its community and reaffirms its commitment to promoting the culture of peace that distinguishes the IPN,” he said.
