The Hoy No Circula program is not only applied from Monday to Friday, but also on weekends, particularly on Saturdays.
With the name Hoy No Circula Sabatino, the application of this program is somewhat different from the one used during the week. That a vehicle circulates on Saturday in the Valley of Mexico depends on its hologram and the completion of its license plate.
Cars with hologram 1 and whose last digit of the plate is odd, will not be able to circulate on the first and third Saturday of each month.
While the cars with hologram 1 and with the last digit of the license plate in pair, they will not have the opportunity to circulate on the second and fourth Saturday of the month.
Meanwhile, vehicles with hologram 2, as well as foreign vehicles, will not have the opportunity to circulate on any Saturday regardless of the color of the sticker or finish of the plate.
If a month were to have a fifth Saturday, that day the restriction will reach cars with hologram 2, foreign and with permits. In the same scenario, the rest of the cars, including those that have hologram 1, are totally exempt from Hoy No Circula Sabatino.
As on weekdays, double zero, zero, electric and hybrid hologram cars do not participate in the program.
