Elements of the Jalisco State Prosecutor’s Office, in conjunction with Baja California authorities, achieved the arrest of a former police officer of that entity who was wanted for his possible participation in an enforced disappearance. The capture took place in the Valle Imperial subdivision of Zapopan.
According to investigations by Baja California authorities, Javier “V”, in the company of other preventive state police officers,He arrived at a home in the town of Guadalupe Victoria, Mexicali.
There, Javier “V” stayed guarding the door while the other elements entered by force and They detained a man who they also allegedly beat, causing his death.
Later, the police they wrapped the body in a blanket and they transported him in one of the patrol cars to an uninhabited area located north of the road to the Vicente Guerrero ejido in the Mexicali Valley, where they buried him.
The investigations of the case led to the obtaining of an arrest warrant against Javier “V”, for which authorities of said entity began to search for him; however, upon learning that he was evading justice, they requested the collaboration of the various prosecutors in the country to secure his capture.
The Jalisco Prosecutor’s Office responded with results, since through investigative work they detected the subject in the Valle Imperial subdivision, in the municipality of Zapopan, for which the Investigative Police assured him as established by the protocol, notifying him of his rights.
The man was handed over to the authorities of Baja California, who will place him at the disposal of the Guarantee Judge of the Judicial District of Mexicali, Baja California, who will resolve his legal situation.
