If anyone knows how to draw viewers to the cinema, it’s Disney. If you don’t want to go to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022) for Benedict Cumberbatch or for the story, you might still want to schedule a movie visit for a taste of Avatar 2: The Way of Water (2022).
The first images of the Avatar sequel were already shown to a select number of journalists last week during the annual CinemaCon in Las Vegas. The teaser is expected to be available online soon, but for anyone who wants to see it already, you can head to the cinema at Doctor Strange 2.
The Avatar sequel takes place ten years after the original and again follows Jake Sully (Sam Worthington). Now he lives with his family on the planet Pandora and leads a quiet life, until an old threat returns. He must once again team up with Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) and empty the Na’vi to protect the planet.
James Cameron is back to direct the sequel, starring Michelle Yeoh, Kate Winslet and Sigourney Weaver. Avatar: The Way of Water runs from Dec 14 in the cinema.
