The city of Guanajuato lived this Tuesday the largest march in its history. Around 12,000 students from the University of Guanajuato filled the streets to protest the murder of their partner, Ángel Yael, by the National Guard.

“Justice for Ángel”, read a canvas at the head of the march, on one side a macro photograph of Ángel stood out; The column highlighted hundreds of messages on cardboard and sheets from the student community, which in writing and loudly demanded justice and safety conditions for the students.
“I want a title, not a death certificate”, “I want to title myself, I want to title myself, I don’t want them to take my mother’s body”, “I want my parents to pick up my title, not my body”, “Angel, the hive shouts your name”, “We are missing a Bee”, “It was the State”, “The State is murdering us”, were some of the phrases shouted in the march.
On the steps of the UG, the mother of the murdered Agronomy student thanked the student community and the university.
He also asked the students for respect in the peaceful demonstration, because justice is not shouted out or asked for with blows, he said.
