“With the University of Guadalajara there must always be a working and cooperative relationship with the Government of JaliscoTherefore, given the concern expressed by the rector in relation to the security issues of the University community, we met today to talk, to exchange information that is very important for us, that the rector had direct information from the state prosecutor’s office,” the governor said.

In addition, he acknowledged that “we are facing a real problem, a problem on a national scale that is violence for reasons of gender, which requires decisive action by everyone as a society, and especially by all levels of government.”
The state president also pointed out that a work agenda was established from said meeting, and a new operational meeting will be held this Friday. for, in conjunction with the State Police, the Metropolitan Police and the rest of the security areas of the Government of Jalisco, a new reinforced surveillance protocol is established to safeguard the university community.

For its part, the rector of the UdeG thanked the governor for having addressed the complaints made by the student community and for reaching a coordination to act together against all the information that circulates on the Internet in order to attend to the cases that are real.
“Distinguishing between real cases and false cases is a job that we can do together, to give the people of Jalisco peace of mind so that unnecessary panic is not generated, which is generated enough for people to take care of themselves and take care of each other. everyone. Right now with the prosecutor we were able to discern some of these cases. The commitment of the University is to be communicating and communicating to the State, to distinguish between real cases, that the State gives us peace of mind to the university of the real cases and that together we coordinate, “said Villanueva.
The first commitment, they pointed out, is that there will be a direct line of communication with the State Attorney’s Officeand that all cases will be investigated, with the help of accurate and timely information from citizens.
The foregoing arises after the protest carried out by UdeG students to demand greater security around the educational establishments based on various events that put students at risk, as well as the request of the Federation of University Students (FEU) to implement prevention strategies against violence, especially gender violence.
